The Stats page starts with the same information that can be found
on the Logs page. Under that there is a box telling you who is currently online.
This information is not 100% reliable, it may only indicate that the person(s)
listed were looking at that page within the past 30 minutes.
The next 4 boxes tell you (from left to right):
| Multi
page hits since |
Details
of which datesthe multi page reports are covering. |
| Top
30 Referers |
This
is a very important list, telling you which sites are sending you traffic. On
the right is a number of visitors each referer sent to your site. |
| Top
30 domains |
This
tells you what domains people came from. It also tells you what that top-level
domain means. For instance: .com - Commercial, .de - German, .mil - US Army |
| Download
hits since |
Allows
you to download the details so you can edit them and work with them in Excel,
or any other spreadsheet program. |
Under this there are three more boxes:
| Top
10 Res |
This
may be a top 10, but you will probably not see more than five or six entries here.
This tells you what screen resoloution your visitors are using, and which are
the most popular. The list on the right shows how many hits each resolution has
generated. |
| Top
Color |
There
are only a few possibilities for here also. 8 means 256 colors, 24 and 32 are
both classed as "true color" (above 16 million colors). On the right
is the number of visitors who have had each color depth. |
| Territories |
What
area did your visitors connect from? The largest number is usually undefined.
This is because most people connect through a .com a .org or a .net. None of these
are associated to any one country. |
Next on this page is a box detailing the last 30 referers, and
under that a list of the top 40 keywords used to find your site. These keywords
are valuable, and can be used to help your search engine ranking.
