I know someone
is trying to send me e-Mail, but I am not getting it. Why is this happening?
There
are several reasons why this may be happening. The Internet is a very large place,
and for an e-Mail to reach your account from someone elses account, it may have
to travel through 10, 20 or even 30 e-Mail servers along the way. As a mail is
travelling, it can get stuck on any server that breaks down as your mail is travelling
through it, or it may just get caught in congestion. Whilst e-Mail is usually
instant, it can take as long as a week for a mail to get through! Now this is
unusual, but it can happen.
If
you are not getting mail from any one, and have not recieved any for a while,
please inform Support@InternetDesign.com
so we can investigate. If your e-Mail is totally failling, calling us may be a
better alternative!
If
it is just mail from one person or company that is not arriving, do make sure
that you have told them the correct e-Mail address, spelling both the address
and the domain name correctly.
And
if you want to test your e-Mail, send a message to "TestMyAccount@InternetDesign.com".
The software will instantly send you a reply, which you should get after a few
minutes hopefully, but which may take a while longer. This is an unattended account
- mail sent to it will not be read by a human.
