Outlook
2000 e-Mail setup using .iaf files.
You will have been
supplied with a .iaf file to install into your e-Mail package. In this example
the .iaf file is called "Joe Bloggs InternetDesign.com e-Mail account.iaf".
These instructions will work with earlier versions of Outlook, but some of the
names used may be a little different.
These
instructions are written for Microsoft Outlook 2000. They will work with Outlook
98, but some of the screen shots may look different, and some of the names may
change.
Launch
Outlook by double clicking on the icon for it. Select Tools then Accounts...

You
will see the Internet Accounts dialog box appear. Here you will select the top
tab marked "Mail", then the button on the right marked "Import"
(which has been highlighted in the image).

A
file window will open. Move to your Desktop (or wherever your .iaf file is saved)
and select the file, then click the Open button.

You
will now see that account in your list of Internet Accounts.
You
can now close this window. When you check your mail next, Outlook
2000 will check your new account. If this is the e-Mail account that
you are going to use the most, you may want to set
it as your default e-Mail account. Instructions for that can be found
here.
