Can I upload
a CGI Script?
If
your hosting option supports CGI scripts, then you can upload them with no problem.
You should place your scripts in a folder called:
/cgi-bin
This
folder should already be in your web space. If it isn't there, you can create
it. You will probably need to set the server path in the script (See What
is a server path and a URL?), and you may need to set file permissions.
Other
details you may need include:
| Server path |
/user/home/sites/www.yourdomain.com/web/ |
| Sendmail path |
/usr/sbin/sendmail |
| Perl path |
/usr/bin/perl |
| Perl version |
Perl 5.00503 |
Online
support is available for the scripts in our resources
list. You can find a great many other scripts online - we prefer www.CGI-Resources.com.
If you are unable to get your script to work and the information on these pages
does not help we are available to install it for you. Please contact
us for pricing details.
